The Messianic movement in Israel is growing. Today, there are more Jewish believers in Yeshua living in the land than at any time since the first century. Here are some of their stories.
David's Story: From Orthodox to Messianic
David grew up in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish home in Jerusalem. When he began reading the Hebrew Scriptures for himself, he was struck by Isaiah 53. "Who is this suffering servant?" he asked his rabbi. The answers didn't satisfy him.
After years of searching, David encountered Yeshua and recognized Him as the Messiah. His family sat shiva for him—the traditional mourning ritual for the dead. But David now leads a thriving congregation in Tel Aviv.
Sarah's Story: Holocaust Survivor Finds Peace
Sarah survived Auschwitz as a child. For decades, she couldn't believe in God. "Where was He?" she asked. In her 70s, she met a Messianic believer who shared the love of Yeshua with her. Today, at 92, she says, "I finally found the peace I searched for my whole life."
