How God Called Me to 'Lift Up Zion' During My First Trip to Israel
Share:

In 2011, I took my first trip to the Holy Land. I had no idea that God was about to change the trajectory of my life forever.

Standing at the Western Wall

As I stood before the ancient stones of the Western Wall, watching Jewish men and women pour out their hearts to God, I felt the Lord speak to me: "Lift up Zion." At first, I didn't understand what that meant. But over the following days, God began to unfold His plan.

A Burden for Israel's Salvation

Romans 10:1 became my life verse: "Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved." I realized that God was calling me to mobilize the Body of Christ to pray for the salvation of His covenant people.

Meeting Messianic Believers

During that trip, I met Jewish believers in Yeshua (Jesus) who were faithfully sharing the gospel with their own people. Their testimonies moved me deeply. Many faced rejection from family and community, yet they persevered in faith.

The Birth of a Ministry

When I returned home, I couldn't shake what I had experienced. God was calling me to:

  • Encourage Christians to pray for Israel's salvation
  • Support Messianic Jewish believers and ministries
  • Help the Church understand its biblical connection to Israel
  • Your Part in This Story

Today, Lifting Up Zion continues this mission. When you pray for Israel, when you give to support Messianic ministries, you are partnering with God's redemptive plan for His chosen people. Will you join us?
